Objectives
  • Use the oblique abdominals to initiate and guide the twist, allowing the rotation to come from the center of the body rather than the limbs.

  • Create a lengthening stretch through the spinal extensors, encouraging the back body to open and decompress.

  • Increase overall spinal mobility by combining rotation with controlled flexion, promoting a more supple and responsive spine.

  • Develop awareness that the spine can twist while in flexion, refining the ability to articulate the vertebrae in multiple planes at once.

  • Focus on breathing to synchronize the movement.
