Hip Abductors
Gluteus Medius, Gluteus Minimus, Tensor Fasciae Latae
Push the carriage away with the hip closest to the carriage.
Resists the movement and spring load to stabilize the standing leg.

Other Muscles at Play
Anterior & posterior spinal stabilizers provide lumbo-pelvic & spinal stabilization.
Hip extensors assist the spinal stabilizers with the lumbo-pelvic stabilization and keep the hips from flexing.
Knee flexors keep the knee bent on the standing leg and straighten the leg on the gesture leg. They also resist the spring load to control the knee as it bends on the gesture leg.
Scapular depressors keep the shoulders down away from the ears.
Objectives
Strengthen the glutes, quads, and hip abductors.
Enhance hip and leg control by stabilizing the pelvis during smooth movements of the carriage initiated by the hip abductors.
Ensure a stable pelvis and supported spine to maintain the "squat position" as one leg extends away from the stable base.
Challenges balance and stability while standing on the moving carriage.
Focus on breathing to synchronize the movement.
