Objectives
Use the co‐contraction of the abdominals and spinal extensors to maintain proper alignment of the body while standing, creating a stable central axis for the legs to work from.
Increase hip‐adductor strength and control while engaging the knee extensors to support clear alignment through the lower limbs.
Use the hip rotators to maintain external rotation from the hip joint as the legs straighten, with the sartorius assisting in holding the lateral rotation.
Engage both the knee flexors and extensors to promote balanced, well‐coordinated movement through the entire leg.
Focus on breathing to synchronize the movement.
