Objectives
Use the co‐contraction of the abdominals and spinal extensors to maintain proper alignment of the body while standing, creating a stable central axis for the lower limbs.
Increase knee stability by engaging the hip adductors to support the inner line of the legs and maintain clear alignment through the knees.
Use the hip rotators to maintain external rotation from the hip joint as the legs straighten, with the sartorius assisting in sustaining the lateral rotation.
Strengthen the knee flexors and extensors to promote balanced, well‐coordinated movement and support through the entire leg.
Focus on breathing to synchronize the movement.
