Objectives
  • Teach proper shoulder placement in trunk flexion by organizing the scapulae and maintaining a stable, supported upper body as the spine rounds forward.

  • Develop abdominal strength to support the flexed position and guide the movement with control.

  • Use the co‐contraction of the hip extensors and abdominals to maintain pelvic stability, preventing the pelvis from shifting as the spine articulates.

  • Teach spinal articulation by encouraging sequential movement through the vertebrae, creating smooth, intentional flexion.

  • Focus on breathing to synchronize the movement.
