Objectives
Stretch the piriformis, gluteus medius, and the other deep hip rotators to improve mobility through the posterior hip and create more freedom in rotation and hip mechanics.
Use the co‐contraction of the abdominal and back extensor muscles to maintain proper torso organization as the stretch occurs.
Engage the deep abdominals to stabilize the torso, keeping the pelvis steady and preventing compensatory movement throughout the range.
Focus on breathing to synchronize the movement.
