Objectives
  • Engages the abdominals and pelvic floor to stabilize the lumbo‐pelvic region.

  • Activates the obliques to stabilize the lumbar spine, prevent overextension, and mobilize the torso in rotation.

  • Engages the glutes and hamstrings to stabilize the pelvis on the femurs.

  • Trains coordinated stabilization of the spine, pelvis on the femurs, and scapulae.

  • Mobilizes the spine through controlled rotational movement.

  • Develops coordination and control by initiating rotation from the upper spine and sequentially rippling upward rather than rotating from the shoulders.

  • Challenges the endurance of the erector spinae to maintain trunk height against gravity.

  • Focus on breathing to synchronize the movement.
